Trying to start off the new year right, I finally cleaned my work office. The oldest, most meaningless item was from a meeting in April 2010, which must be the last time I cleaned. Purging is good.

Most offices have the usual computer, phone, calculator, stapler, stuff like that. But the real necessities are what I make sure I didn't dismiss:
not 1, but 2-nerf gunsnerf rocketsvarious bouncy ballsBeer Stein (unfortunately, empty)USB Rocket launcher (obscured by the Beer Stein)a globe2 digital photo framesdisplay of 10 different types of modemssome awardsbooks from college and grad schoola fake planta California Cow (?)a lawn gnome (hiding in the plant)golf putter with targets (floor breaks to the right)a skateboard (don't even know where that came from---someone left it in my office because they knew I skated)
What all this means is anyone's guess, but your office should reflect who you are, and apparently I like weapons. Afterall, you spend over 2,000 hours a year there, so make it your home.
