Each year for the last 20+, I've made the annual trek into the woods for the deer gun hunting season in Wisconsin. While I don't get or even see a deer some years, I'm usually guaranteed to get cold, so over the years I've invested in some gear to keep me warm and awake. My brother, Marc thought it would be funny to lay down on my outfit, so he's covering up my coat and insulated pants, wearing his own facemask.
From the upper left, clockwise:
1) Orange Hat and facemask (cut out so glasses don't fog up).
2) Neck warmer w/ built in compartment for heating pad (new for 2011!)
3) Heater Seater
4) hand warmer (holds phone, walkie and heat factory pads)
5) HTC Evo 3D w/ Earpiece (usually listen to podcasts)
6) Walkie Talkie w/ Earpiece
7) Hand warmer heating pad
8) Canon S95 Camera
9) Battery Powered Socks & foot warmers (went w/ the foot warmers)
10) Boots
11) 30-30 Winchester lever action w/ 10 rounds
12) Orange Crush
13) Beef Jerky
14) Field Dressing Gloves
15) Buck Knife
16) Judge .45 caliber with holster, 10 rounds
(not pictured, gloves)
All this stuff weighs quite a bit, but once out there 15 feet in a tree, I appreciate the warmth and utility it all provides. Let's hope I can put it to good use!
