So today was the big day of the Tough Mudder Wisconsin event that I signed up for 3 months ago (why did do this again?). It was an awesome experience running the 10-mile, 25 obstacle death-course. More photos here!
Chad, Jon and I all finished a bit under 4 hours with a few bruises but no major injuries (though I got a nasty welt/burn from Elecroshock Therapy). We had some long lines at some of the obstacles later in the race, which we figured added around 45-60 minutes to our overall time. This did cause me to have some pretty severe leg cramps as well, but I slogged through it.
In this photo, Chad is doing a full-on belly-flop into the "Kiss of Mud" obstacle, one of my favorites (keep your head down to avoid the barbed wire!).
I carried my shockproof camera, which was indeed tested throughout the day (the photo quality got worse after this obstacle...) Check here for photos I shot during the race as well as some Sara shot as well. Looking forward to doing this again next year!
